Brett Payne, the CEO of Contender Esports, opened the first location in February of 2020, it is now the oldest Contender eSports gaming center and among the most visited locations in the company. Our own Springfield, MO store also has a history of nurturing highly motivated managers and staff. The first store manager built on the Contender eSports formula with a strong sense of brand personality and a sports-driven mindset, leading the Springfield store to early popularity and a growing membership base. After the transition to a new manager, this momentum continued, fostering positivity and inclusivity within the gaming community. The current manager now emphasizes birthdays, after-school programs, and partnerships, creating fresh, exciting opportunities for families in Springfield.
