Contender eSports Academy

Springfield’s ONLY youth esports academy. Our players, aged 7 to 17, are given personalized coaching, a teamwork environment, and a flexible competition schedule. The month-to-month subscription allows the greatest flexibility for your child to reach their full gaming potential. No matter the game, no matter the skill level, Contender eSports Academy players have access to the greatest possible network of national competitions with experienced coaching staff in all disciplines.

Our month-to-month subscription model removes the hassle of hidden costs, jersey fees, or any extra commitments. Our coaches and program directors will personally develop a career plan for each player. This outlines any and all commitments they have to themselves and their teammates.

Flexibility

Your schedule, your child’s school schedule, your travel considerations, everything is taken into account to give you the best Academy experience possible. Dropping in and out depending on school commitments, other sports, or life stuff is always encouraged. Our focus on individual skill and growth means that no player is ever left behind as the season progresses.

Opportunity

As Springfield’s only full-service eSports arena, we have the connections, the programs, and the partners throughout Springfield and beyond to lay out the next steps for your child. This includes exploring scholarship opportunities, high school, collegiate, and semi-professional teams, and of course, developing traditional soft skills that will help them excel in any future endeavors. WHAT DOES A MONTH IN THE ACADEMY LOOK LIKE?

We hold daily practice sessions for a minimum requirement of 9 hours of practice per week.

We open the door to and represent you in online semi-pro scrimmages weekly.

We host or enter into online, local, and regional tournaments to prove your skills.

We invite dedicated players to join Springfield Mavericks Gaming.

Schedule your free tryout

Call us at (417) 414-0806 to schedule a tryout to meet the coach, learn about the arena, and find your best fit in the academy. It is completely free. Your display of skill does not determine whether or not you are accepted into the academy. Beginner players are welcome and encouraged to join.

Discuss with your family

We’ve found that great youth players require the support of their families. It’s imperative that players and parents discuss time commitments, financial obligations, and travel arrangements. At Contender eSports, we remove the uncertainty that your child will be safe and learning at all times. We require your support to ensure that our players are respected as athletes in and out of the arena.

Our commitment to you begins well before we receive a single cent in tuition fees. Rest assured that registration just requires you to send us your information and ask to be contacted regarding the academy.
